I’d like to put some little labels next to my switches and “idiot” lights. I’m visualizing quite small, abbreviated labels on metal or stick- on foil. Has anyone discovered a source for something like that ? I can’t figure out a way to do a decent job myself, and I can see that at least initially, I’m going to be asking myself ” Am I in neutral, or is that the oil pressure light ?”

      Thank you

      Eric

Check eBay for “Dashboard Stickers” you may find what you’re looking for there.

Hi, Oily – thanks for the link – lots of useful stuff! I wasn’t sure whether you were directing me to warning lights etc. with little images on them, or whether they have actual labels somewhere on their site. If they do, I couldn’t find them. The indicator and warning lights that have images on them tend to be bigger than what I would like, so prefer to have smaller lights with labels, at least initially.

So much stuff at CBS that it’s difficult to find what you want. I looked at these, but haven’t tried them so can’t comment on quality.

Also look at Dymo D1 tapes – a plastic laminate printed tape available in various colours, including black text on clear tape which is great for use on metal panels – no symbols though (text only) unless you buy an expensive printer.

Thank you, John – I guess you need to know the right word to search under – the black on clear ones look like they will do the job perfectly, especially if I stick them on little rectangles of aluminium sheet or sticky aluminium foil, to make them stand out better on my turned dash.
